Race Counts empowers communities around the state to collectively envision, measure, and fight for progress toward a racially equitable California. To that end, we’ve developed a framework laying out a vision of racial equity for California and baseline indicators measuring progress towards that vision. California’s 58 counties are ranked according to their progress toward the vision of racial equity, and Californians gain a research-based picture of their county’s specific areas of performance and disparity, enabling partners to customize their strategies and advocacy efforts.
Update: Data for California’s largest cities are now on RACE COUNTS.
